Outdoor Advertising has been traditionally one of the most sought after medium to promote a brand, product. A right product/ad placement could do wonders in promotions which in turn help in brand recall value. No wonder, the hoardings, banners and every other medium of outdoor adveritising comes with a heavy price tag especially in prime locations. Kurnool is no exception to thistrend. The commercial space value has surged to astronomical proportions and along with it outdoor advertising has followed suit. Of late, a new firm named ‘Green Media’ has entered this arena of outdoor advertising; however, it has set itself apart from other advertising firms in terms of space utilisation
and value for its clients. Meet Mr G.A Swamy Yadav, one of the founders of this latest mobile advertising firm, Green Media which is slowly making its presence felt in Kurnool. Swamy, an MBA Post graduate from SRK PG College. says, “We started the firm to facilitate mobile advertising at a very economical price. The best part about it is, we have gone green. That’s one of the
several attributes which has set us apart.” what’s the ‘mobile’ part of the whole advertising? A tri-Cycle! How does it all work? “We provide end-to- end solutions to our clients. Right from the
cycle design to coming up with an ad campaign and reaching out to the target
audience, we take care of everything.” Currently, Green Media boasts Some of their clients include
brands such as Mega mart, US Polo,Twills, HDFC Bank, APGB Bank,Tata Salt, Brain Cafe Z Telugu, Dress Circle, Chandana Bro, MGB Bajaj, TVS. “We have also tied up with some movie production houses. Now we are promoting all bradings Within two months of it hitting the marquee,
the growth of Green Media has been quite encouraging. “We knew that the idea would click. Just to give you an idea of how well things have worked out in our favour, let me tell you that all the cycles have been booked by various brands. There’s even a waiting period of one week if a new client approaches us,” says Swamy who beams with pride. So what is it that has clicked so well
for them? “There are many specialities which I can boast of with respect to Green Media. We
are going to introduce new cycles with attractive design apart from the existing ones. You just can’t overlook the new ones when they are out on the roads.” The new design looks like one of those jazzy concept bikes from Japan and Europe. “Apart from that, there’s a GPS attached to each of these
cycles. Our clients can track the movement of the cycles and check the amount of time their ads are being displayed in a particular location. It’s all part of our core strategy to encourage trasparency. Also, all the cycles are equipped with LED lighting. Even the flex is recyclable and hence eco-friendly.” Swamy also reveals about the existing modes of outdoor advertising, for example, the lollipops on the road dividers. “Each lollipop will cost a customer anywhere between Rs 5000-15000
and you can’t book one lollipop. A minimum of 5-6 lollipops have to be booked if you
want to make your brand’s presence felt in an area. For the amount, Green Media can cover the whole area instead of one small stretch,” says Swamy. Mobile advertising isn’t a new phenomenon in the city. Such mode of advertising has been going on for sometime through DCM or Auto Trolleys. Again, a DCM would cost anywhere between Rs 75,000-80,000 and an auto trolley is priced
around Rs 25,000-30,000. “Our pricing is way less than what others offer!” Swamy enthuses.
Each cycle has an employee who would distribute flyers, interact with people at any
part of the city and even give Live Demos according to the requirements of the client.
The company is already in an expansion mode. “We plan to set up more franchises in Tier-II towns and cities in the state. Pretty soon, each district headquarters will have atleast 10 such cycles through
which our customers can reach maximum number of people,” he signs off. With the way things are going on for them, it certainly looks like they will be able to cover maximum area in any town and city. We wouldn’t be surprised if ‘Green Media’ goes on to be one of the most successful advertising
firms based in Kurnool.
